I'm Austin Hunt, a portrait artist + programmer fusion based in Upstate South Carolina. I started drawing around 2011 as a freshman in high school and over time became somewhat obsessed with portraiture, starting out in the vibrant (and expensive) world of Prismacolor pencils and eventually settling into a new personal artistic style characterized by soft, swirly, red and blue ballpoint lines. I've recently started exploring the digital art avenue with Procreate, and I'm definitely a fan, but there's something ultimately therapeutic about the feeling of a ballpoint pen scratching over a sheet of Strathmore sketchbook paper. It's something I can't really let go of, and it's arguably one of the main things that has kept me drawing over the last decade. Outside of the art studio, I'm a bit of a computer geek. Currently I'm chasing a Master's in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering, and I'm working remotely for the College of Charleston as a member of their web team, where I get to work on a ton of cool things ranging from website development and server management to network monitoring and automation.
